Gimiks Born found solace in drawing and reading comics at a young age, which fuelled the early sparks of creativity. As he grew older, Gimiks’ unwavering commitment to artistic pursuits became non-negotiable. He entered the graffiti scene through encouragement from a friend, marking the beginning of a journey into a subculture that was gaining global appreciation. Despite early struggles and doubts, the evolving popularity of graffiti art provided opportunities for growth. Gimiks Born’s skills further developed through dedication and practise and soon after her went on to create large scale murals.
An accomplished tattooist, graphic designer, illustrator, muralist, and holding of a diploma in interactive design, Gimiks’ enjoys the versatility to seamlessly interchange skills and take art to new dimensions. Inspirations drawn from his love of comics, illustrative storytelling, and the profound impact of parenthood have shaped the evolution of his perspective.
Recently, we undertook a thrilling collaboration with Gimiks Born for our newest Loose Cannon temple art. For this special project he drew inspiration from his personal treasure trove of artistic influences, resulting in a fusion of comic and street art that tells a story of urban energy, nostalgia, and a deep love for the vibrant subcultures. Each element is meticulously crafted, showcasing Gimiks Born’s attention to detail and his ability to create a visual narrative that resonates with the viewer.
