CRT (Courtenay McCue) specialises in colourful murals with a pop culture vibe however her love for fashion has seen her experimenting with a fusion of fashion and art. She has blended her penchant for eyes and colourful artwork to bring you the newest inner temple print for our LOOSE CANNON sunglasses, AN EYE FOR AN EYE. CRT, who usually draws her inspiration from religion and personal experience, works out of a local art space in Burleigh alongside many other creatives. She says it's great to be surrounded by other artists as it helps her to stay inspired. On designing the inner print for our limited edition LOOSE CANNON, CRT reveals the biggest challenge was working on such a small canvas. Being a mural artist she is used to creating on a much larger scale, so having to reign that down to a space the size of a sunglasses arm was a new but welcoming endeavour.

Freo’s Art (Jack Freeman) has blended his love for street art culture and his vibrant imagination to bring you the newest inner template print for our LOOSE CANNON sunglasses. The twenty-four-year-old specialises in colourful pieces inspired by Melbourne’s street art culture as well as the creative community around him. Freo’s work is each created with very specific intention to portray his life experiences and to express his personal observations within the world.

My style is best known for my bright, bold and fun designs that capture that quintessential surf & skate culture. As a kid I grew up skateboarding, surfing, riding my BMX around the streets and loved road trips around Australia. Being around skateboarding exposed me to a crazy, colourful & unapologetic world of skateboard graphics and street art. After failing art in high school I went to University and promptly found out exactly what I did NOT want to do with my life. I worked my way into the Events Industry and managed some awesome events around Australia before transitioning into non-profit/ community events where I enjoyed running some of Australia’s leading fundraising events and campaigns. I loved being able to contribute to the community in such a positive way. After almost 15 years in the Events Industry I decide to quit and pursue my art as a full time career.I have 2 dogs (Bella and Peggy), my gorgeous partner Cash and our first son Hendrix. We live by the bay just south of Melbourne and love spending time outdoors and in the ocean. From early morning swims, surfing and spear fishing to hiking and camping - nature and the ocean play a huge role in our family life. I’ve been stoked to travel and work in Los Angeles in 2019, leave my art on walls all around Australia and work with some awesome clients.

Meet Gimicks Born, a dynamic artist, tattooist, and muralist whose vibrant creativity knows no bounds. With an insatiable passion for comics, cartoons, cult movies, and hip hop, Gimiks Born infuses every project with a unique blend of pop culture, urban flair, and street art aesthetics.

Gimiks Born found solace in drawing and reading comics at a young age, which fuelled the early sparks of creativity. As he grew older, Gimiks’ unwavering commitment to artistic pursuits became non-negotiable. He entered the graffiti scene through encouragement from a friend, marking the beginning of a journey into a subculture that was gaining global appreciation. Despite early struggles and doubts, the evolving popularity of graffiti art provided opportunities for growth. Gimiks Born’s skills further developed through dedication and practise and soon after her went on to create large scale murals.

An accomplished tattooist, graphic designer, illustrator, muralist, and holding of a diploma in interactive design, Gimiks’ enjoys the versatility to seamlessly interchange skills and take art to new dimensions. Inspirations drawn from his love of comics, illustrative storytelling, and the profound impact of parenthood have shaped the evolution of his perspective.

Recently, we undertook a thrilling collaboration with Gimiks Born for our newest Loose Cannon temple art. For this special project he drew inspiration from his personal treasure trove of artistic influences, resulting in a fusion of comic and street art that tells a story of urban energy, nostalgia, and a deep love for the vibrant subcultures. Each element is meticulously crafted, showcasing Gimiks Born’s attention to detail and his ability to create a visual narrative that resonates with the viewer.
